This crystal salt comes from the salt chain in Pakistan. The salt chain is geologically, but not geographically, part of the Himalayan massif. Himalayan crystal salt is a natural table salt that is around 250 million years old. Salt without chemical additives and fluxes, which is extracted in the same way it has been for centuries.
Himalayan crystal salt was formed more than 250 million years ago when the original ocean disappeared. It is harvested by hand on the Tibetan plateaus. Salt from the Himalayas used to be called "royal salt" because the very high-quality salt was only sold to the local nobility. The pink color comes from the minerals that the salt has absorbed, such as sodium chloride, magnesium and calcium.
This Himalayan salt is a fine crystal salt that is unrefined and still has all the good properties that salt possesses. Most of the salts available on the market have been processed, washing out the best nutrients. This pink salt can be considered an exception. This means that the minerals and trace elements have been preserved. It may not look like it, but there was a time when the Himalayas were not a mountain range, but part of the sea. While the modern sea is heavily polluted, Himalayan salt is still pure, meaning it has all its original properties. Refined salts contribute little or nothing to our health. Himalayan salt is the natural alternative and is not called the salt of salts for nothing
